Creative commitment
Creative commitment is the composite measure of how much an advertiser truly invests in creative work: media budget, campaign duration and the number of channels combined. The analysis behind it shows a clear relationship: high-commitment campaigns systematically score higher effectiveness, while short, narrow, thrifty campaigns rarely achieve large effects. The measure is above all a mirror for the practice of disposable campaigns. It is, however, a correlation from award data: strong brands can afford more commitment, so cause and effect intertwine. The rule of thumb survives: better one campaign long and broad than three short and small.
