Creative effectiveness
creative quality
Creative effectiveness is the degree to which the creative work itself, independent of budget and media plan, drives commercial results. The evidence is strikingly consistent: creative quality is one of the largest multipliers on media money; a strong idea can make a modest budget perform like a big one. Effective creative work attracts attention, evokes emotion, is instantly recognisable as the brand and stays usable for years. That collides with the practice of ever-shorter campaigns and formats reinvented per channel. Taking effectiveness seriously means treating creative as an investment decision, not a late-stage matter of taste.
